Say ‘I Do’ in Paradise: Ebony and Chris’s Dreamy Destination Wedding in Portugal

Destination weddings in any European country are my favourite to photograph. Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing Chris and Ebony’s wedding in Portugal and it was a total delight. 

The day started with the bridal party and groomsmen getting ready at their stunning villa. The couple choose Quinta do Roseiral for their big day and it was one of the best decisions. Chris wore a white tuxedo jacket with black pants and stole the show. All his groomsmen were dressed in all-black tuxedo’s, ensuring the groom stands out on his wedding day. It was such a pleasure witnessing Chris getting ready with his groomsmen since they were so fun to be around. 

As for the women, they kicked things off with Ebony wearing a white slip dress and her bridesmaids wearing black silk PJ’s. After taking some photos by the pool side, it was time for the bride to slip into her wedding gown. All the bridesmaids wore cream coloured dresses while Ebony wore this breathtaking white gown that defined her curves and featured a long train at the back. 

The wedding ceremony took place outdoors, surrounded by the lush green gardens. Chris and Ebony vowed to love each other forever and shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Capturing two people in love on their wedding day is such an honour and I get a bit teary eyed every time. Seeing the happy couple walk down the aisle together put a big smile on my face as I captured their emotions on camera. 

I had an amazing time working with the bridal party and we managed to get some amazing photographs. We also did a couple portrait session and I fell in love with Chris and Ebony’s chemistry. Their photos turned out amazing, with the stunning Quinta do Roseiral serving as the best backdrop. 

After some family photography, everyone moved indoors for the reception. The welcome by the bridal party at the reception was a sight to see! The bridesmaids walked down the stairs holding a sign that said “Mr and Mrs Richards” and even did a little show for the audience. As for the groomsmen, they did a little dance to kick things off and got a lot of cheers from the audience. 

This was honestly one of the best reception decor I have ever seen. The tables were decked out beautifully and each corner was well thought of and executed to perfection. 

The speeches had everyone laughing and crying at the same time. It was one of my favourite parts about the reception and warmed by heart to be surrounded by such humble and loving people. 

The stunning three-tiered wedding cake was decorated with lemons. As the newly married couple cut the cake, the sprinklers went off and created the perfect atmosphere. The night ended with Chris and Ebony sharing their first dance. Everyone joined in later and danced the night away!
