Bordeaux Romance: A Fairytale Wedding in France’s Wine Paradise.
If two people are meant to be together, they eventually find each other, even in the most unexpected places. Tara and Chadi’s love story began when they sat next to each other at a Roast dinner organised at a Pub in Chelsea by their mutual friend. Chadi happened to be the only guy there and was seated next to Tara. They started talking and realised how much they had in common and how their energies perfectly matched.
Fast forward to their dreamy destination wedding, which took place in Bordeaux, France. It’s a beautiful city with great food and wine, which is why the couple chose it. They also wanted the destination to be close to England, so all their friends and family can come over for a weekend without too much of a hassle.
Tara and Chadi tied the knot at Chateau Pape Clement, which served as the perfect backdrop for their fairytale wedding. With 7 centuries of history surrounding the venue, I was in awe of the lush garden and the castle whose first grape harvest took place back in 1252.
Tara wore a beautiful off-the-shoulder white wedding gown with voluminous sleeves and a train cascading at the back. As for Chadi, he got dressed in a crisp black suit and looked very suave.
To kick things off, we had a photo session indoors with all the bridal party which was a fun experience and afterwards, it was time for the ceremony. I absolutely adored the black and white them of the wedding. All the bridesmaids and flower girls wore white while the groomsmen wore black tuxedos. Tara walked down the aisle with her father and had a big smile on her face. The couple exchanged their vows and the first kiss, surrounded by nature, which served as the best backdrop for photos.
After the ceremony, we had the couple session which is always one of my favourite parts of a wedding. We shot them both indoors and outdoors and I personally fell in love with the ones we took inside the winery.
The reception took place indoors and was a sight to see. The decor was as lavish as the venue and took everyone’s breath away. It started off with some speeches which had everyone laughing tears of joy. Afterwards, it was time to cut the wedding cake. I was quite surprised to see a Croquembouche instead of a traditional cake, but I believe that little touch spoke volumes about the couple and the type of relationship they had.
The night ended with Tara and Chadi sharing their first dance. The lights dimmed, the music slowed down and for a moment, it was like it was just the two of them in the room. Later, everyone joined the couple on the floor and danced the night away.
