I'm a wedding photographer and videographer and I love capturing weddings all around the world.
An Islington Town Hall wedding always delivers elegance in the heart of London and this wedding was no exception. However, it also came with an unexpected twist because The Champions League Final took place on the same day. As a result, the entire area felt alive with energy.
Islington Town Hall offers a classic London setting. The space feels grand yet intimate and therefore, it suits modern city weddings perfectly.

One of the standout moments of the day came immediately after the ceremony as guests boarded a traditional wedding bus for the journey to the reception venue and what made this particular journey even more memorable was the timing.
With the Champions League Final taking place that day, the streets of Islington were packed with football fans gathering in pubs, bars, and restaurants to watch the match. Everywhere we looked, there were supporters enjoying the build-up to one of football’s biggest occasions.
The combination of wedding celebrations and football fever created a uniquely London scene that perfectly reflected the city’s energy and character.

As an Arsenal supporter myself, there was an extra layer of enjoyment to the day as the groom was also a fellow Arsenal fan. Although the wedding naturally took centre stage, football occasionally found its way into conversations. During the reception, I even managed to catch a brief glimpse of the Champions League Final while documenting the celebrations.
It was one of those unexpected moments that added personality to the story of the day and served as a reminder that every wedding unfolds in its own unique way.

Throughout the reception, I spent time photographing the carefully chosen table decorations and personal touches that had been thoughtfully planned. These details may seem small in the moment, but they often become increasingly meaningful after the wedding day has passed.
In fact, after delivering the final gallery, Bethany told me that some of her favourite images were the photographs of the table decorations and styling as they weren’t something she had specifically thought about on the day itself, but seeing them afterwards allowed her to appreciate elements of the wedding that had naturally become a blur amidst the excitement.

If you’re planning your own Islington Town Hall wedding and are looking for natural, relaxed wedding photography that captures both the big moments and the smaller details that make your day unique, I’d love to hear from you.
