Harry and Reema originally planned a grand Indian wedding in London with over 200 guests in Trafalgar Square. However, like many couples during the pandemic, they had to adjust. Instead, they hosted a beautiful intimate Sikh wedding at home, surrounded by family, love, and tradition. This smaller celebration proved that intimacy can make a wedding even more meaningful and was even featured on Rock My Wedding.
A Joyful Start with the Haldi Ceremony
The festivities began with the traditional Sikh Haldi ceremony, one of the most vibrant pre-wedding rituals. Friends and family gathered around, applying turmeric paste to the couple’s faces, hands, and feet. This ritual symbolises blessings, prosperity, and happiness for the bride and groom. The laughter, fun, and love in the air perfectly set the tone for their wedding celebrations.
Breaking the Mold: Reema’s Unique Sikh Bride Style
Reema, an Advertising Executive, was initially unsure about fitting the “traditional Indian bride” image. With tattoos, piercings, and her own personal style, she wanted to stay true to herself. Yet when she stepped out in her stunning Sabyasachi bridal Lengha, her parents’ tears and Harry’s speechless reaction said it all — she looked every bit the radiant Sikh bride.
A Beautiful Sikh Wedding Ceremony – The Anand Karaj
The couple exchanged vows during a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony at a Sikh temple. Centered around the Guru Granth Sahib, the ceremony included sacred prayers, hymns, and four symbolic circles around the holy book. The red scarf connecting Harry and Reema represented their spiritual and emotional bond. This ritual truly captured the essence of a Sikh wedding in London — sacred, emotional, and unforgettable.
Capturing Their Love – Couples Photoshoot
After the ceremony, the couple enjoyed a photoshoot in a nearby park, arriving in style in a classic white Rolls Royce.
