I'm a wedding photographer and videographer and I love capturing weddings all around the world.
Every time I go to shoot a wedding, I am surprised over and over at how couples put their heart and soul into organising every detail to the dot. Arriving at Gaynes Park, I was stunned to find that Cally and Lee’s countryside wedding spoke so much about their passionate love story.
We started the day with Cally and Lee getting ready, each with their own party of family and friends. Cally had fun with her bridesmaids getting dressed and opening presents. In the meantime, Lee had a blast with his groomsmen and two sons. The boys each wore very stylish beige suits to complement their father’s black tuxedo.
Cally’s beautiful and romantic gown accented her grace and created the perfect balance between traditional and modern beauty. This radiant bride and mother left everyone breathless. The site of her older son walking her down the aisle was a very touchy moment for everyone. The two boys joined their elegant grandmothers while Cally and Lee exchanged vows and promised to love and respect each other till eternity, making this countryside wedding as dreamy as ever.
Gaynes Park is a charming barn wedding venue with gorgeous scenery. Couples love it because autumn’s cosy and golden glow provides the setting for unforgettable wedding photographs. While the children played and the guests mingled before the reception, I used the time to capture some couple’s portraits of Cally and Lee.
We also took some time to take some group photos. The green gowns the bridesmaids wore blended in perfectly with the autumn theme. They were just the perfect addition to Cally’s wedding dress design. And, of course, there were the inevitable family portraits, which I very much enjoyed taking.
What struck a note and made the autumn wedding even more emotional was the way Cally and Lee honoured their loved ones who were no longer among us. Cally had small photos of loved ones attached to her bridal bouquet, honouring them and making them part of the ceremony.
Once the guests entered the reception hall, they found a whole table filled with photos of loved ones that Cally and Lee had lost. This was another way for them to honour the deceased who was with them in spirit.
Moving on to the reception, I have to say it was a blast. All the guests had fun, laughing and sharing a tear of joy together with the couple. Cally and Lee danced with their sons and guests, and for those whose heels were too much, the bride and groom provided slippers. You can understand why this countryside wedding went on till the early morning hours! With great food, good company, excellent entertainers and a glass of wine, guests celebrated Cally and Lee’s love.
The countryside wedding ended with everyone sending the newlywed couple off into their new life by lining up and holding sparkles to light up their path. It was a very thoughtful and fun way to send them off.
