I'm a wedding photographer and videographer and I love capturing weddings all around the world.
A Chinese Hindu Wedding includes a breathtaking fusion of cultures and traditions. This stunning celebration took place at Addington Palace, offering a perfect blend of elegance and heritage. As a result, the day was filled with colour, emotion, and unforgettable moments from start to finish.

The day began with calm bridal and groom preparations surrounded by close family and friends. The bride’s details, styling, and jewellery were carefully prepared for the wedding day.
One of the highlights was the beautiful blend of Chinese and Hindu traditions. In addition, intricate jewellery and cultural attire reflected both backgrounds perfectly. The atmosphere was warm, emotional, and deeply meaningful throughout.

Following the ceremony, a traditional Chinese tea ceremony took place which allowed the couple to honour their families respectfully. Tea was served to parents and elders as a sign of gratitude which created intimate and emotional photography opportunities and family members shared blessings, advice, and heartfelt words with the couple. If you’re planning to include a tea ceremony during your celebration, check out Derek and Nabira’s Pakistani Chinese Fusion Wedding.

A traditional Hindu ceremony also took place after the tea ceremony. One key tradition included a varmala exchange which is a garland made of flowers that the bride and groom place around each other’s neck. This symbolic moment represented unity, commitment, and blessings from both families. Before the reception, the couple changed into traditional cultural attire. The outfit change added elegance and visual contrast to the celebration. As a result, the reception entrance felt fresh and exciting.
Ruth and Hong embraced both cultural identities through their clothing. Furthermore, their new outfits highlighted the fusion of Chinese and Hindu heritage which created a powerful storytelling moment within the wedding day.

One of the most enjoyable parts of the day was capturing group photographs. Guests gathered on the grounds of Addington Palace for lively and relaxed portraits. We also created group shots on the grand staircase inside the venue and the elegant architecture provided a dramatic backdrop for family and friends.

One unforgettable highlight was the couple’s energetic first dance. During this moment, Ruth surprised everyone by lifting and spinning the groom which resulted in the room filling laughter, joy, and applause.
This playful moment perfectly reflected their personalities and connection and it created one of the most memorable images of the entire day. Guests joined in soon after, turning the reception into a lively celebration.

Addington Palace is ideal for multicultural and fusion weddings. Its grand architecture and elegant interiors suit both traditional and modern ceremonies. Therefore, it remains a popular choice for cultural wedding celebrations.

If you are planning your own Chinese Hindu wedding at Addington Palace, I would love to capture it.
From cultural ceremonies to emotional family moments, every wedding tells a unique story.
Ultimately, this celebration showed how beautifully two cultures can come together.
