Real weddings, beautiful places and stories worth remembering.
London, the UK and beyond.
Editorial in style. Documentary at heart
Eugene and Cheryl’s Hedsor House wedding was something I was looking forward to, not only because of the beauty of the venue, but because every couple brings their own story, personality and emotions to the day.
Set against the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, the venue provided an incredible backdrop, but it was the history between Eugene and Cheryl that made their wedding particularly special.
Eugene and Cheryl were childhood sweethearts, having first met while they were both at boarding school. Years later, standing together on their wedding day, there was a real sense that their story had come full circle.
From the emotional outdoor ceremony to portraits in the sunshine and a packed dance floor later in the evening, this was a wedding filled with genuine emotion, laughter and plenty of energy.

The day began with bridal preparations, capturing those quieter moments before everything got underway.
Bridal prep is always one of our favourite parts of a wedding to photograph and film because it gives us the opportunity to document the anticipation of the day without interrupting it.
There were the usual final touches, details and moments of excitement as Cheryl prepared to walk down the aisle, surrounded by the people closest to her.
Rather than directing every moment, we focused on allowing the morning to unfold naturally — documenting the atmosphere, the little interactions and the anticipation building before the ceremony.

Eugene’s preparations provided a completely different atmosphere, with the excitement gradually building as he and the rest of the wedding party got ready for the day ahead.
These moments are easy to overlook when thinking about the main events of a wedding, but they are an important part of the story.
Years later, it is often these seemingly small moments that bring back memories of what the day actually felt like.

The highlight of Eugene and Cheryl’s Hedsor House wedding was undoubtedly the outdoor ceremony.
With the ceremony taking place outside in the beautiful surroundings of Hedsor House, the combination of the sunshine, the setting and the significance of the moment created something incredibly special.
But it was Cheryl’s reaction that really stood out.
Knowing that Eugene and Cheryl had first met as childhood sweethearts made the ceremony even more meaningful. As Cheryl read her vows, she became visibly emotional, creating one of those completely unscripted moments that cannot be recreated or staged.
For us, these are the moments that wedding photography and filmmaking are really about.
Not simply creating beautiful images, but preserving the emotion behind them.
The look between two people who have known each other for years. The nervousness before saying “I do”. The laughter from friends and family. The tears that appear unexpectedly.
These are the memories that make a wedding film and photographs personal to the couple.

After the ceremony, we took advantage of the sunshine and explored the grounds of Hedsor House for portraits.
The Sunken Garden provided an especially beautiful setting, giving us a mixture of elegant architectural surroundings, greenery and natural light.
Rather than turning the portrait session into a lengthy photoshoot, we kept things relaxed and allowed Eugene and Cheryl to enjoy some time together away from their guests.
This is an important part of our approach at Trilion Productions.
We want couples to have beautiful photographs, but we also want them to remember actually enjoying their wedding day.
The result was a collection of natural portraits that reflected the atmosphere of the day without feeling overly posed.

As the day moved into the reception, the atmosphere changed completely.
The emotion of the ceremony gave way to celebration, laughter and plenty of energy on the dance floor.
The reception was lively from the beginning, with guests enjoying themselves and creating plenty of opportunities for candid photographs and film footage.
This is where documentary-style wedding photography really comes into its own.
Instead of stopping the action every few minutes to pose people, we were able to move through the reception and capture what was happening naturally — the reactions, the dancing, the laughter and the interactions between guests.
Some of the strongest photographs from a wedding are often the ones that were never planned.

Looking back at Eugene and Cheryl’s wedding at Hedsor House, three parts of the day particularly stand out.
The outdoor ceremony was filled with emotion, made even more significant by the couple’s history together and Cheryl becoming visibly emotional while reading her vows.
The Sunken Garden portraits gave us the opportunity to create beautiful couple photographs in the sunshine while allowing Eugene and Cheryl some time together away from the crowds.
And then there was the reception, where the atmosphere completely shifted into celebration and the dance floor came alive.
Together with the bridal and groom preparations, these moments created a complete visual story of their wedding day.

Hedsor House is one of those wedding venues where the surroundings naturally lend themselves to beautiful photography and film, but for us, the most important part is always the people and the story.
Eugene and Cheryl’s wedding was not memorable simply because it took place at a stunning venue.
It was memorable because of the history behind their relationship, the emotion of their ceremony and the atmosphere created by the people around them.
From childhood sweethearts meeting at boarding school to standing together years later and exchanging vows at Hedsor House, their wedding was a beautiful reminder that the best wedding stories are about far more than what happens on the day.
They are about everything that came before it.
And that is exactly what we love documenting at Trilion Productions — authentic moments, genuine emotion and the story of two people as it naturally unfolds.
Whether you’re planning a celebration in London or further afield, our wedding photography and videography approach is centred around genuine emotion, beautiful light and telling the complete story of your day.
